Silent Wood, a reborn Vosges chalet

A 133 sq m chalet in the Vosges mountains, taken back to its bones. The renovation tackled the hard, invisible problems first, poor insulation, dated construction and persistent humidity, before any decoration began.

The result is a warm, enveloping mountain refuge built around raw materials: wood, stone and a moody palette of black, anthracite and khaki green. Custom furniture and carefully chosen vintage mountain pieces complete a home that now works beautifully as a short-term rental.
